Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Care Aide to join our team at Acropolis Manor in Prince Rupert. This is a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to our elderly residents and be part of a progressive culture.

About the Role

The Registered Care Aide will provide resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures. As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration, as well as resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical, and recreational needs. You will also transport residents and perform clerical duties.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work

The successful candidate will work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, from 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, and 23:00 to 07:00.

About Acropolis Manor

Acropolis Manor is a long-term care facility located on the main floor, with three units: East Pod, North Pod, and West Pod. The facility has 56 beds, including three respite beds and five short-stay beds. It is attached to Prince Rupert Regional Hospital via a covered link and offers easy access to downtown and public transportation services.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position is essential, as is the ability to organize work, operate related equipment, and adapt to changing situations.

Salary and Benefits
