About the Role:

We are seeking a Family Health Practitioner to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to work as a locum in our Unattached Inpatient Coverage program.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care to unattached patients while they are admitted to hospital. The patient case load is generally 12-16 patients per day, and dates are available and customizable through December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to unattached patients
  • Work closely with Emergency Physicians to ensure seamless patient transfer
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License - Full
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) certification
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $250,000-$300,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you may be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including a Retention Premium of 24.5%.
