Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

York Rd. Kitchen & Chocolate Bar is seeking a skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Operations Management: Establish methods to meet work schedules, prepare food order summaries for the chef, and supervise and check assembly of trays.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Work Environment:

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
