The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) seeks a highly motivated and organized Work Integrated Learning Manager to join our team. This exciting role plays a critical part in expanding the range of experiential and work-integrated learning opportunities for UNF students.
About the Role:
- This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a network of community and industry partners to engage with university students and program participants in experiential learning.
- You will lead the implementation systems and maintain a database of community partnerships related to work integrated learning, acting as a resource to support faculty.
- Maintain regular contact with employer partners to provide support and assist in navigating any challenges.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to gather and disseminate relevant labour market information.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, implement, and facilitate student experiential and work-integrated learning placements for academic programs, including the development of a work plan with learning outcomes or developmental threshold.
- Provide resources and assist students by coaching, guiding, and finding best-fit placements.
- Raise awareness, alongside Associate Deans, of the benefits of experiential learning – connecting theory and practice – for students, employers, educators, and community.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a quality assurance framework, institutional metrics, and reporting measures.
- Lead the development and implementation of university policies related to experiential and work-integrated learning.
- Identify risks associated with WIL and develop structures to mitigate risks while maintaining the reputation of the institution.
- Lead initiatives that will grow, develop, and maintain the reputation of the institution.
- Source and monitor grant-funded opportunities for students and assist in coordination and management of such projects.
