Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Page at Regina Public Library. As a Page, you will play a vital role in maintaining the physical integrity of our library collections, ensuring that our materials are easily accessible to the public.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort, shelve, and shelf read library materials, ensuring that they are accurately cataloged and easily accessible to patrons.
  • Run and reconcile request pull lists and trace reports, ensuring that materials are delivered to patrons in a timely manner.
  • Pull library materials identified for weeding, as instructed, and process withdrawn materials, maintaining the branch book sale area.
  • Conduct inventory of collections, ensuring that materials are accurately counted and accounted for.
  • Empty bins and book drops, pack and label outgoing bins, and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Set up rooms for programs, minor cleaning of public areas and equipment, and replenish paper supply in copiers and printers.
  • Answer or direct patron queries where appropriate, providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 10 education.
  • Ability to organize materials following numerical and alphabetical sequences.
  • Physically fit and able to perform the requirements of the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with the public and staff and to work as a member of a team.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility and work independently with a minimum of direct supervision.
