About Our Office

We are an independent contractor agent part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network. This means our employees are not employees of Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries.

Job Description:

  • Establishes personalized telephone contact with clients, creating a climate of trust conducive to the sale of Life and Living Benefits insurance products.
  • Educates and advises clients on our products while adhering to the company's underwriting standards.
  • Seizes all sales opportunities, solicitation, and product offers.
  • Works with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.
  • Uses a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • A successful track record of meeting sales goals is essential.
  • The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to relate to customers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • A strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day is expected.
  • The ability to organize and problem-solve is also required.
  • The candidate should be able to work as a team and have attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of social media and technology is also necessary.
  • Motivation and leadership skills are highly valued.

Qualifications:

  • A Life and Health license LLQP is a must-have.
  • A strong understanding of social media and technology is necessary.
  • Product/sales experience is required.
  • A college diploma in a related field is also necessary.
  • Two years of relevant experience are required.
  • Previous insurance experience in various fields such as underwriting, claims, sales, or service would be an asset.
  • Possession of Permanent Residence Status is a requirement.
  • Candidates must also be fluent in Mandarin and English.
