Craftsman Collision is a leading auto body repair company in Canada, dedicated to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Trainee to join our team in the Okanagan region.

This role involves supporting multiple locations, providing leadership, and ensuring shop operations run efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Supporting daily operations and ensuring stakeholder objectives are met in a safe and effective manner;
  • Managing shop operations in alignment with The Craftsman Way (TCW);
  • Providing vacation coverage and utilizing company dashboards to prioritize tasks;
  • Participating in daily production meetings and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders;
  • Writing estimates and scheduling repairs as required;
  • Utilizing company systems to enter parts and sublet invoices;
  • Supporting daily production, workflow, and quality control of the shop;
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures;
  • Bringing forward suggestions for training needs and process improvements;
  • Representing the Craftsman Collision brand in a positive manner aligned with stated values.

Requirements include:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered;
  • Working towards I-CAR Platinum certification an asset;
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, combined with the ability to interact and gain the support of senior leadership and other decision-makers;
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills;
  • Demonstrated time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude;
  • Proficient in Outlook and video conferencing platforms with the ability and willingness to learn new applications;
  • Demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development;
  • Interest in vehicles and the automotive industry;
  • Knowledge and proficiency in ADAS systems, vehicle calibrations, and emerging vehicle technologies an asset;
  • Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years;
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.

We offer a competitive salary range between $45,000 - $55,000 per year, along with 3 weeks of paid vacation per year.

This position requires frequent travel across several locations in the area.
