About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Assistant Cook to join our team at Grand Taj Banquet and Convention Centre. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain inventory levels and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our culinary team to achieve our goals and provide exceptional service to our guests.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: Will train the successful candidate.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
