About the Opportunity

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Finance Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide expertise in commodity and withholding taxes, overseeing reconciliations, and processing payment requests.

You will work closely with multiple departments, governmental bodies, and external consultants on audit, acting as the main point of contact for any issues and providing insight for resolutions.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will analyze reports and provide recommendations, offering specialized knowledge on the commodity tax system to aid in its upkeep, upgrades, and application of business changes.

You will also enhance and refine processes and systems to boost efficiency and precision, engaging actively in the SAP implementation initiative.

About You

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounting/Finance role completing bank reconciliations
  • A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • High proficiency with MS Excel
  • Experience with SAP (S4HANA is highly preferred)

Bonus Experience:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Canadian commodity tax experience

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $68,250 - $78,300 per year, based on industry standards and location.
