About the Role

As a Home Finance Specialist at BMO, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers achieve their dream of homeownership. This dynamic position offers an exceptional opportunity to leverage your skills and experience in mortgage lending, while fostering strong relationships with clients and referral partners.

Job Summary
  • Develop and execute effective marketing and sales programs to drive business results and increase BMO's share of the home financing market.
  • Cultivate, build, and manage relationships with a referral network to create a pipeline of new mortgage business.
  • Actively identify sales opportunities and refer them to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively contact referral and origination sources through national partnerships or local initiatives to discuss home financing solutions.
  • Assist with implementing targeted marketing programs, promotions, and other initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Search for cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to position them to the branch and achieve individual sales and profitability goals.
  • Serve as a customer advocate during application and processing activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and advancement of funds.
  • Complete onboarding activities as required and provide excellent customer service that builds trust through expertise, responsive service, and support.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth understanding of the mortgage lending process and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Expert knowledge of self-management, teamwork, personal lending, relationship sales, and management.
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking, investments, trust services, business and commercial lending, and cash management.
Compensation and Benefits

This role is eligible for a competitive commission structure, with a base salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, you will also enjoy benefits such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
