Overview

At Canada Inc., we are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring the general ledgers and financial statements are in order.

Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for:

  • Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll
  • Maintaining financial records and establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintaining general ledgers and financial statements
  • Posting journal entries
  • Preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
  • Preparing trial balance of books
  • Reconciling accounts

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience working with manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
