We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Developer to join our client in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently review and analyze software requirements.
  • Build architectural diagrams and design documents.
  • Design and implement changes in screens, business rules, and workflows.
  • Develop, configure, package, and deploy software applications.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards across the team.
  • Debug, test, and peer-review code for quality assurance.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of proven experience in Guidewire Application Development with a focus on Guidewire BC Configuration.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire PC Configuration is an asset.
  • Expertise in GOSU language, Guidewire tools, accelerators, batch processing, and predefined plugins.
  • Strong ability to read code in other languages and reverse engineer products.
  • Proficiency in Agile software development with experience using tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification is required.
  • 7 years of experience in Guidewire development and coding RESTful APIs.
  • 7 years of experience coding in languages such as C#, Java, and Python.
  • Proficiency in relational databases, especially MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
  • Experience designing and developing business database applications.
  • Expertise in creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs using REST/JSON.
  • Strong understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development principles.
