Senior Manager, Guidewire Development Expert

At Aviva, we're looking for a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our Guidewire Development team. As a key member of our organization, you'll be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to review software requirements, challenge assumptions, and influence stakeholders on prioritization.
  • Create architectural diagrams, high-level and detailed design documents, and estimates.
  • Design screens, business rules, and workflow changes, working with project managers and product owners to adjust solutions to fit timelines or budgets.
  • Write programs, configure, package, and deploy software, establishing and following coding standards, debugging and unit testing code, and performing peer code reviews.
  • Mentor team members on best practices, coach senior resources to become future leaders, and set clear goals for team members.
  • Meet with team members one-on-one regularly, collect feedback from stakeholders, and provide feedback to the team.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification required, with ACE preferred.
  • 2 years of recent Guidewire Claims domain and technical hands-on experience.
  • Understand Cloud Technologies and experience in leading Cloud programs.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in GW Integration Development, with expertise in GOSU, Rules Engine, Data Model, API development.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in GW integration development using GOSU with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ContactManager, and ClaimCenter.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in architecting integration of GW PC/BC/CM/CC/Digital product with internal and external systems/applications.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience building Micro-services architecture, Event-driven architecture, and patterns.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in GW Edge API and its customization.
  • Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence.
  • Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance.
