About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Executive Director, Human Resources & Professional Practice. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive human resources and professional practice strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the human resources and professional practice teams, ensuring effective execution of corporate strategies, programs, and services.
  • Collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to advance the organization's health human resource and professional practice strategy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, including the Ministry of Health, other BC Health Authorities, and national organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and professional standards, as well as codes of ethics.
  • Establish and oversee annual operating plans and related budgets for the portfolio, developing an appropriate organizational structure and allocating resources to achieve current and long-range strategies.
  • Identify and address critical issues and risks to achieve short, medium, and long-term objectives, strategies, plans, and programs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor organizational and portfolio performance against operating targets and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, complying with and implementing applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as business administration, human resources, or healthcare.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in human resources and professional practice leadership, with a proven track record of success in a senior executive role.
  • Strong strategic leadership and management skills, with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address critical issues and risks.
