Compensation Administrator and Payroll Services Manager

About the Role
This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Payroll Services Supervisor to ensure compliance with established payroll and accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify payroll documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate and process employee pay in accordance with collective agreements, policies, and statutory requirements.
- Produce pay cheques and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and provide reports as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from the Canadian Payroll Association.
- Completion of an accounting/business program at an accredited post-secondary institute or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of integrated computer payroll, human resources, and accounting systems.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate courteously and effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, auditors, and external agencies.
