Salary

The compensation for this role is competitive and reflects the market rate for similar positions in the industry. The salary range is between the minimum and maximum base salary for the position, with initial placement typically halfway between the two extremes. This represents an employee with full job knowledge, qualifications, and experience for the position.

Job Description

The Compensation Advisor is responsible for providing expertise in the development, implementation, and administration of KPU's compensation programs. This position works collaboratively in implementing wage and salary administration, job evaluation, and organizational redesign initiatives to provide coordinated services on compensation matters. The role works closely with the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) in effective people relations related to compensation matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters
- Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with KPU's business objectives
- Analyze and evaluate compensation data to ensure fairness and equity
- Collaborate with HRBPs to communicate compensation policies and procedures to employees

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or a related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years related to compensation, classification, or job evaluation
- Preference for HR experience in post-secondary, public sector, or large, complex multi-union organizations
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) are considered assets
