Industrial Millwright Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

The Industrial Millwright Maintenance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and quality processes by maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments, to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, using precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose issues.
  • Remove and replace defective parts, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts.
  • Adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning and performance.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including parts and materials used, and order or create requisitions for new parts and materials as necessary.
  • Assist with planning and closing the loop on work orders in Maximo.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License 433A (Red Seal Certificate of Qualifications)
  • Full set of metric standard tools
  • Experience with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to read mechanical drawings
  • Able to work shifts, including extended hours and weekends
  • Interpersonal, problem-solving, and trouble-shooting skills
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
  • Able to walk and/or stand 70-90% of the shift
  • Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
