Job Title: Millwright - Industrial Mechanic

AFIMAC Canada is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic - Millwright to join our team for an upcoming assignment in the GTA.

This position requires working 12 hour shifts, 4 days per week when assigned to a project.

Benefits include:

  • $60.00 per hour before overtime
  • $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)

Job Responsibilities:

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on various machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance
  • Using and interpreting schematics and blueprints related to plant equipment
  • Practicing and maintaining standard operating procedures and remaining compliant with all quality, safety, production and environmental rules, standards and regulations
  • Maintaining accurate up-to-date maintenance database records
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of lock out tag out and confined space entry
  • Installing, troubleshooting and repairing compressed air systems and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with rigging of equipment, set-up and alignment of machinery and equipment
  • Reviewing work assignments and job procedures to ensure safe and reliable work execution
  • Maintaining plant equipment at optimum efficiency
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a valid 433A certificate of qualification – Industrial Mechanic or another skilled trade with equivalent experience
  • Have a minimum of 1 year millwright experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Own tools required
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills
  • Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
