Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on food processing equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and costs
  • Identify and order spare parts as needed
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production supervisors to complete work schedules
  • Act as a liaison for contractors conducting repairs in the plant
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation, including daily time sheets, work orders, and preventative maintenance logs

Requirements

  • Electrician license required
  • 5 years of experience in food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance
  • Good knowledge of electronics, PLC technologies, and troubleshooting skills
  • Computer literacy and understanding of programmable controls
  • Additional skilled trade licenses an asset
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly
  • Ability to work in conditions below 10°C
