About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Powell River Educational Services Society. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Control

Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans to ensure the effective management of our budget and resources.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports to inform business decisions and drive strategic growth.

Financial Systems and Processes

Develop and implement efficient financial systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and manage a team of financial professionals to ensure the effective delivery of financial services.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.

Skills and Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
