About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Powell River Educational Services Society. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Control

Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans to ensure the effective management of our resources.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to inform business decisions.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Financial Systems and Processes

Develop and maintain financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and develop a team of financial professionals to achieve our financial goals.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.

Skills

Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Leadership and Communication

Strong leadership and communication skills to lead and develop a team of financial professionals.
