About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Powell River Educational Services Society. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Control
    • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure the effective management of our resources.
    • Monitor and control expenditures to ensure they are in line with our financial plans.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and present financial reports to our management team and stakeholders.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Systems and Processes
    • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our financial systems and processes.
  • Supervision and Team Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of financial staff to ensure the effective delivery of financial services.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure our financial staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial management role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
