We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Clinical Engineer to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering Shared Administrative Service, you will provide strategic and operational medical device technology leadership and management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement medical equipment technology plans, including major technological introductions and yearly patient care equipment upgrades.
- Manage the life-cycle of medical equipment, including inspection, repair, and business case analysis.
- Ensure the performance assurance of critical medical equipment.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with medical devices, ensuring compliance with relevant statutes and regulations.
- Provide medical equipment education and technical consultation to staff.
- Analyze and provide recommendations on complex current and emerging technologies.
- One year of directly related experience in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering is required.
- Familiarity with various computer systems and software packages is essential.
- A post-secondary degree in clinical engineering, biomedical engineering, or equivalent from an accredited educational institution is required.
- A Master's degree in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering or equivalent is required.
