Technical Service Specialist

About the Role:
As a Service Technician at Strana Talent Inc., you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients in the manufacturing sector. You will work closely with our sales team to identify opportunities for service and sales growth, and will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the installation, operation, and maintenance of our equipment.
- Work proactively with clients, sales representatives, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for service and sales growth.
- Perform service visits, generate professional reports, and submit invoices in a timely manner.
- Utilize the SalesForce system to submit service requests, manage service reports, update asset data, and collaborate with other departments.
- Manage time and resources effectively to minimize overtime and expenses, while generating service and parts sales revenue.
- Provide feedback and training to sales, engineering, and other field service team members on equipment performance and potential improvements.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in industrial service; or a minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training in industrial service.
Skills/Experience:
- English written and spoken - Required, French an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical drawings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to groups of clients or employees.
- Ability to use basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios in practical situations.
- Considerable ingenuity and judgment are required to deal with difficult-to-evaluate factors, interpret results, and make independent decisions.
- Ability to produce technical reports and proposals that are professionally written and grammatically correct, requiring no routine revision by others.
- Ability to use common hand tools, measuring instruments, pneumatic tools, and other common equipment for industrial equipment maintenance.
- Must possess a valid driver's license in the province of residence and be insurable under the company's automobile insurance policy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in common computer skills, including Microsoft products.
- Experience with SalesForce or a similar customer relationship management system.
- Must follow the annual MSHA Vendor Training. Vendor training for surface and underground products.
Travel:
The employee must be able to travel 60% of the time on average. Some international travel is required, and therefore a valid passport is required. The work schedule may be adjusted to allow for weekend days off when weekdays are worked.The Pointe-Claire, Quebec office will be the home base when there are no service calls.
