We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Auditor to join our team at Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. As a key member of our Internal Audit Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and Execute Audit Engagements: Conduct thorough audits of various business units and functional areas, including interviews and execution of audit procedures.
  2. Analyze and Report Audit Results: Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to management on audit findings, focusing on risk management and value-added improvements.
  3. Evaluate Key Processes: Assess internal processes against industry best practices and provide recommendations for improvement.
  4. Provide Consulting Support: Offer expert advice and assistance on special investigations and projects as needed.
  5. Travel Requirements: Some provincial travel may be required for this role.
Requirements
  1. Education: A university degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  2. Experience: 2+ years of experience in auditing or a similar business role, with compensation based on level of experience.
  3. Designations: An accounting or auditing designation (CPA, CIA, CISA) is considered an asset or willingness to pursue.
  4. Skills: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, proficient analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
