Counselor - Community School Therapist

Knowles Centre is seeking a highly skilled Counselor - Community School Therapist to join our team.
Position Type: Term/Full-Time, Term/Part-Time (6 – 12 hours per week)
The successful candidate will provide direct assessment and treatment services to students at a Winnipeg community school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Five years of clinical experience working with youth, families, and direct service workers
- Excellent assessment and counselling skills
- Experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health struggles
- Experience with individual therapy
- Understanding, training and experience in the area of trauma and trauma-informed practices
- An understanding of colonization, intergenerational trauma, and Indigenous practices and have direct experience working with Indigenous clients
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills
- The ability to work both independently and flexibility
A Master's degree (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy) is required.
The therapist will receive regular supervision. The successful applicant will have a clear Criminal Record Check, Child and Adult Abuse Registry Checks, Prior Contact Check, possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle.
