About the PositionThe successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and management of education programs for students of various ages and cognitive abilities. This includes creating and updating educational materials, assessing program effectiveness, and ensuring alignment with First Nations K-12, post-secondary, and adult education standards.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive education strategies to support student growth and success.
- Manage fiscal resources, including budget planning, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and community members to design and deliver innovative educational programs.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on program progress, outcomes, and evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including parents, students, and community leaders, to ensure transparency and engagement.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree; a Master of Education degree is an asset.
- At least 5 years of management experience in education, including 3 years of classroom experience and 2 years of supervisory experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role successfully.
- A comprehensive understanding of First Nations K-12, post-secondary, and adult education and First Nations issues in British Columbia.
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
