Overview

Royal Bank of Canada is a leading financial institution seeking a seasoned Data Management professional to lead its regulatory-focused data prioritization efforts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking and data management, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects and regulatory programs.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $160,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Job DescriptionData Prioritization Leadership

We are seeking an experienced leader to head our data prioritization team, responsible for identifying and prioritizing critical data elements (CDEs) and managing metadata models and workflows.

This role involves driving long-term efficiency through consistent approach adherence to enterprise data policy and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of data professionals to deliver data prioritization services to finance and risk departments.
  • Develop and implement CDE identification processes that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage metadata models and workflows to support U.S. regulatory needs.
  • Collaborate with lines of business, functions, and other RBC data management offices to ensure effective data management practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of people management experience in banking or data organization.
  • 10+ years of experience working with finance and risk regulatory reporting (CCAR, FRTB, CECL, BCBS-239).
  • Demonstrable experience with executing large-scale data/technology projects and regulatory programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and bridge the gap between business and IT.
