About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to join our team at Verdi Structures Inc. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Structural Construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to ensure the stability and integrity of the structure.
  • Site Safety: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support and Repair: Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures to ensure the stability and functionality of the building.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training or certification is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Construction sites, various locations.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
