About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to join our team at Alliance Forming Ltd. As a Form Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to construct and repair wooden frames, supports, and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
  • Build and repair wooden frames used to mould concrete products.
  • Construct and repair wood or metal supports and structures.
Work Environment

As a Form Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to work outdoors and in various locations, including high-rise building construction sites.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various locations.
