About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to join our team at Alliance Forming Ltd. As a Form Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to construct and repair wooden frames, supports, and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create and repair wooden frames, supports, and structures.
  • Construction and Repair: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to create and repair wooden structures.
  • Site Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Tool Operation: Cut materials using power tools or by hand to ensure efficient and accurate results.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
  • Work Setting: Ability to work in construction, various locations, and high-rise building construction sites.
