Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support supervisors with facility & corporate training initiatives.
  • Provide support for transfers, layoffs, disciplinary actions, payroll, and employee relations related matters.
  • Assist with drafting and preparing employment contracts, offers, agreements, memorandums, and other correspondence as required.
  • Provide support and training assistance to supervisors and employees on Human Resources processes and policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and concerns and take steps to resolve issues.
  • Review and update policies and procedures.
  • Provide HR administrative support customer and recertification audits.
  • Coordinate employee engagement programs such as team-building days, charity events, staff events and wellness activities and/or topics.
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • University degree or College diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in similar role
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics company is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate with varying departments
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Ability to maintain discretion & confidentiality
