Job Title

Métis Nation of Ontario is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of Métis individuals and families.

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing exceptional support services to clients, including answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and connecting them with relevant resources. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings
  • Assist clients in navigating our programs and services, ensuring they understand their eligibility and next steps
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve client issues and concerns
  • Document interactions and outcomes in our client database, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, or administration)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit or government setting
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
