Drywall Installation Job Description

Canada Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy environments.

Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
