Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Canada Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets and panels in various commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and provide a durable finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to access and install drywall sheets.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of environments, including commercial and industrial settings. The work will involve working at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, and in dusty and noisy environments.
