Job Title: Drywall Installer

Canada Inc is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Work Environment

As a Drywall Installer, you will work in a fast-paced commercial and industrial setting, often at heights and in dusty conditions. You will be required to work on scaffolding or swing stages and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work at heights and in dusty conditions
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
