Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Radiological Technologist to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT and radiographic procedures.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform special procedure examinations in CT and radiographic procedures, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures, responding to potential complications and emergencies as needed.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, processing and archiving data as required.
- Facilitate the workflow of designated work areas, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient use of staff and resources.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality control activities, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography and one year of recent experience in radiology procedures.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices related to CT imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Physical stamina to perform duties requiring prolonged standing and lifting.
