Job Summary:
Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing daily human resources activities, and collaborating with national initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an individual who can provide exemplary customer service as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from operations. This includes managing the applicant tracking system, faxes, emails, and phone calls from external parties on a daily basis. Additionally, you will administer the Govt of Canada Security Clearance process for all new hires, including completing forms as required.

Key Accountabilities:
This role requires someone who can facilitate timesheet training for employees, create and/or update internal/external job descriptions as needed, maintain/approve/post all internal and external job postings, and ensure all postings have correct formatting and content. You will also assist the Talent Acquisition Specialist(s) as needed, which may include screening resumes, conducting telephone interviews, arranging interviews, completing reference checks, executing offer letters, preparing employment contracts, facilitating first day orientation, etc.

Responsibilities (continued):
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining human resources files for employees and contractors, facilitating HR programs such as performance evaluations, service awards, employee satisfaction surveys, group RRSP applications, benefits administration, and review. You will also support national orientation, training, and education programs, and maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to employment standards, human rights, workplace health & safety, and labour laws. Participating in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities is also essential.

Hiring and Screening:
This role involves hiring and screening HCPs according to Bayshore Medical Staffing recruitment and selection processes, as well as assisting with the recruitment and selection of administrative employees as requested by the Operations Manager. Preparing BMP photo identification cards for all HCPs and handling credentialing, verifying credentials of HCPs with professional associations, maintaining records, reminding HCPs of expiry dates, and preparing credentialing reports as required are also key responsibilities.

Other Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for championing Bayshore Medical Staffing's Concierge Service, assisting with travel, moving, real estate, schooling, and daycare arrangements for relocating HCPs. Maintaining HCP human resources files, past HCP human resources files, and participating in or leading the Health and Safety Program as directed by the immediate supervisor are also critical aspects of this role. Handling benefits-related inquiries, assisting HCPs to complete forms, and handling external requests for reference checks and verification of employment are additional responsibilities.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of two years progressively responsible and varied human resources experience. A secondary school diploma and completion of a recognized human resources diploma or degree program is preferred. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format are essential. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, possess competency in keyboarding and Windows software, and familiarity with applicant tracking systems, human resource information systems, and other HR-related software. Bilingualism in English and French (both written and spoken) is an asset.
