Overview

KPMG in Canada is a leading professional services firm, offering a wide range of audit, tax, and advisory services to clients across various industries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Data Management and Audit Leadership Expert to join our team.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our data management function, including providing direct support to audit engagement teams, preparing monthly reporting packages, and coordinating with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and analytical abilities.

Salary

The expected base salary for this position is $95,000 to $170,000, and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on their location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data management function, including attending daily or weekly calls with members of the offshore management team.
  • Provide direct support to audit engagement teams, ensuring they can effectively leverage our data management capabilities.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for senior audit leadership and business unit leaders, including financial results and strategic commentary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve geographic and local office objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Senior manager or equivalent, having at least 2 years of experience with KPMG Canada.
  • Minimum 5 years auditing and team management experience.
  • Diploma or bachelor's in computer science, database management, or programming (or similar programs or a combination of relevant experience) is required.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Python, R, Alteryx, Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate.
