Cybersecurity Director IT Audit

As a key member of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan team, we are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Director IT Audit to lead our IT Infrastructure Audit function. This critical role will be responsible for providing independent assurance and advisory services to ensure the effectiveness and integrity of our Information Technology controls.
We offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Job DescriptionThe Cybersecurity Director IT Audit will be accountable for developing and maintaining a risk-based IT Audit Universe and IT Audit Plan, ensuring that audit priorities, scope, and issue ranking decisions are risk-based. The successful candidate will advise senior leadership on impacts of changes in regulations and industry trends, recommending adjustments to the IT audit plan and universe as needed.
- Develops and implements a risk-focused IT Audit Universe and IT Audit Plan, prioritizing and allocating resources effectively throughout the year.
- Provides expert advice to senior executives on cybersecurity, regulatory, and technology risks, and recommends strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Leverages advanced knowledge of IT and cybersecurity-specific risks and controls, as well as related frameworks, standards, or guides, to inform audit recommendations.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, risk partners, external auditors, and subject matter experts.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- 15 years or more of relevant experience in information technology and leading IT infrastructure, applications, and cyber security assessments, along with a CISA certification.
- Broad and deep knowledge of the general security threat landscape and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced understanding of IT and cybersecurity-specific risks and controls, as well as related frameworks, standards, or guides, relevant provincial and federal regulatory requirements, and industry leading practices and risk trends.
- Experience in building and implementing a Continuous Monitoring Program, innovative IT Audit Program, or Data Analytics Program within the internal audit space.
