At CO_65 Bird Industrial Management Services Ltd., we're committed to empowering our team members to reach new heights. As an Assistant Superintendent - Insulation, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the success of our insulation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate and requisition necessary materials and supplies
  • Assign workers to specific tasks and monitor their progress
  • Inspect the applied insulation for conformance to specifications and safety regulations
  • Compile production and worker performance reports
  • Resolve employee grievances and handle disciplinary issues
  • Work closely with other construction trades and project managers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for insulation installation projects
  • Understand and adhere to our safety management system, policies, procedures, and values
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience
  • 10+ years of experience as an insulation worker
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and other relevant standards
  • Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with both industrial and commercial insulation
  • Ability to forge, grow, and maintain positive relationships
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office, including MS Project
  • Evidence of exceptional leadership skills and ability to influence and work within informal teams
