Job Title: Nuclear Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit Nuclear Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of nuclear-related projects, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and develop junior superintendents and field personnel
  • Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen, and laborers
  • Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings
  • Develop and implement programs to maintain good client relations
  • Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
  • Review, approve, and negotiate change orders
  • Develop and implement plans for project completion and turnover
  • Maintain daily diaries for record-keeping purposes
  • Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations for direct reports
  • Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural changes as needed
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a superintendent or leadership capacity
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes and software programs
  • Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
  • Disciplines needed: Electrical, Structural, and Mechanical Superintendents
Working Conditions:

Regular, reliable attendance is required. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively, understanding and following oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
