Health Care Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated Health Care Support Professional to join our multi-disciplinary team at Alberta Health Services. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing personal assistance and support services to patients in need of short-term or ongoing care.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and caregivers in various settings, including home, community, and health care facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming to maintain their personal hygiene and dignity.
- Provide nutritional support by assisting patients with meal preparation and consumption, as needed.
- Facilitate safe mobility and transfer techniques to prevent falls and injuries.
- Support patients' recreational and leisure activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Ensure patients' safety needs are met by maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
- A valid Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire.
- Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
- Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program with a minimum of 100 hours of practicum completed.
As a Health Care Support Professional with Alberta Health Services, you can expect a competitive salary range of $44,686 - $59,198 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
