Audit Transformation Leader

Scotiabank, a leading bank in the Americas, is seeking an experienced Audit Transformation Leader to drive strategic transformation of its audit function.
Estimated Salary: $175,000 - $225,000 per yearKey Responsibilities:- Lead Strategic Transformation: Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance audit efficiency, effectiveness, and risk management.
- Drive Continuous Auditing: Leverage advanced data analytics and technologies to enable continuous auditing, detect potential issues, and provide high-quality recommendations.
- Foster Customer Focus: Lead a customer-focused culture within the team, deepening client relationships and leveraging broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Manage Audit Projects: Plan, execute, and report on assigned audit projects within scheduled timelines and resources, ensuring a thorough understanding of business risks and procedures.
- Ensure Quality Reporting: Ensure timely communication of audit findings, results, and recommendations to management, with identified root causes, impacts, and proposed actions.
- Develop and Execute Audit Plans: Assist in developing and executing comprehensive and strategic audit plans, monitoring auditable entities, and conducting ongoing monitoring activities to stay abreast of changes and emerging risks.
- Build High-Performance Environment: Foster an inclusive work environment, implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates team members, using coaching/mentoring, vision/ values/business strategy, and succession planning.
- Master's Degree: Quantitative fields such as Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or Business.
- Relevant Experience: 5+ years in development or validation of predictive models, including linear regressions, forecasting, time series, ARIMA, and artificial intelligence/machine learning techniques.
- Credit and Fraud Risk Management: 3+ years working knowledge in Credit and Fraud risk management, with experience in risk strategy an asset.
- Strong Knowledge: Risk management, model risk management, project management, model regulations, and compliance.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Highly developed skills to work with staff and management at various levels, with proven ability to supervise multiple projects and work in high ambiguity and changing environments.
