Job Summary
Mackenzie Health seeks an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic care to patients with complex needs, working collaboratively with the interprofessional care team.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment through effective management of workload, sound professional judgment, and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring evidence-based practices and best practice guidelines.
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Enrolled in or completed the IV Therapy Course.
- Coronary Care Level 1 and 2 certifications or commitment to complete within six months and one year of hire, respectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO).
- Minimum one year of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting.
