About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations by explaining procedures, taking medical histories, and obtaining vital signs.
    • Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Instrumentation and Supplies
    • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
    • Order and maintain dental and office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
    • Process and manage patient payments and insurance claims.
  • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Take and develop X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Record Keeping
    • Accurately record dental procedures performed on patients, including treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental setting.
