About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Family Dental Care. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
  • Order dental and office supplies to maintain a well-stocked and efficient practice
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and recording dental procedures
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials for procedures
  • Maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health
  • Use computer software, including MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word, to manage patient records and perform administrative tasks
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
