Logistics Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth by delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and building strong relationships with existing customers to increase profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities- Execute qualified calls to identify new business opportunities
- Solicit business from various sources, including existing customers and new prospects
- Coordinate logistics and load bookings to ensure seamless operations
- Stay up-to-date on rate increases and prepare timely rate requests
- Provide excellent customer service through after-sales calls and development calls
- Assist with rate quote requests and communicate customer needs to the operations team
- Participate in sales and management meetings to drive business growth
- Track sales activities and maintain accurate sales reports
- Identify opportunities, threats, and risks to the business and collaborate with the Director of Sales to establish goals and priorities
- Communicate customer needs and requests to the operations and administration teams
Three to five years' experience in distribution, logistics, or transportation at a supervisory or CSR level is preferred. Strong leadership and management skills are required to solve problems effectively and maintain customer relationships. Intuitive sales skills are necessary to manage daily operations and anticipate future opportunities or challenges. Excellent time management skills are required to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Microsoft Office programs, customer relationship management programs, or other logistics software is necessary. Post-secondary education is preferred.
A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required for customer service calls.
