About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to join our team at Midcoast Logistics Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services across our transportation network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatching and Scheduling: Coordinate the movement of vehicles and personnel to meet customer demands and optimize our logistics operations.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operations Management: Monitor and analyze our logistics operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of dispatchers and coordinators to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Troubleshoot and resolve complex logistical issues, making informed decisions to minimize disruptions to our operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a logistics or transportation role
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in MS Windows and spreadsheet software
