We're currently seeking an experienced Substation Electrical Estimator to join our team of professionals. This role will be responsible for compiling cost estimates for clients or potential clients with products or services.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Substation Estimating, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and driven. They will work closely with the estimating team, management, clients, and industry contacts to provide estimating input on complex projects.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills in estimating practices, techniques, and equipment. You'll have the chance to work on high-profile projects, from $1M to $50M, and contribute to the company's growth and success.

As a key member of the estimating team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing an understanding of indirect and conceptual estimating techniques and theories.
  • Reviewing and validating outsourced estimates with support from engineer.
  • Formatting estimates in Owners Reporting format.
  • Providing estimating input on complex transmission projects.
  • Assisting in project planning sessions and team meetings to provide estimating input.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A B.Sc. degree in Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce Degree (BCom), Construction Management Certificate, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • 5+ years estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years estimating experience in projects ranging from $1M to $50M.
